Each New Day

While my mind silently screams
To myself, in plain sight I hide
Those who look must never see
Hidden in laughter are my cries
Those who listen must never hear
Behind a happy smile, my burried sorrow
A porcelain mask, this painted smile
Threatening to crack
As a flood of dry tears soaks my cheeks
So, I close my eyes, because
In the dark
No one sees
