Each of Us

Tiny house a former Juke Joint
Coal stove embers danced at night
In that house each had a dream
Mine to fly the friendly skies
Feeling trapped in a small town world

Married young mistakes were made
Brothers off to Telluride.
Sisters with babies
Plans were laid
Eclectic, all of us
Singers, musicians gypsys and poets
Seeking truth not really knowing.

Stories to share so much to tell
None escaped the merry go round
Unite us all the bond is broken
Each of us lost but deep devotion

Trials and paths we all have taken
Hurt and pain always mistaken
Let us heal and unite
The future is short let us love
Before all is lost

So different yet so much alike
We need to love what's left of us.
