Eagle Eyes

From the tops of the highest mountain peaks
To the deepest recesses of the flowing creeks.
Trekking over billowing, searing, dry desert sand dunes
Soaring over beautiful azure oceans on sunny afternoons.

Hunting through the meadows for that lowly rabbit
Waiting to see if he changes his instinctual habit.
Swooping into deep cool waters snatching a trout
Before the fish is able to splash about.

This is the flight of the Bald Eagle
As accurate and precise as a small Beagle.
Always keener, leaner and wiser than any seagull
Gliding gracefully through the air, looking very regal.
