Earth to Mankind

I see it all spiralling to the very ground,
This sad, sad world of ours today.
Helplessly crying without making any sound,
I think this is what it's dying to say,

"The bombs falling around are less painful,
Than the dead bodies lying on my surface,
You've subscribed to every act that's sinful,
Why go to Hell when you've turned me into a furnace.

By drowning in politics, you've forgotten humanity,
Mercilessly killing people to consolidate power.
And in developing this so-called technology,
You keep ruining children & teenagers by the hour.

Suddenly money is making me twirl around,
And the Milky Way can hear the sobs & cries.
I was to keep you safe while you kept me sound,
But now your sins have weakened our old ties.

I might never last for an eternity, pay heed,
Savour me with gratitude, please be more kind.
I was made for your need & not for your greed"
This is what Earth had to say to mankind
