Easier Than I Thought

I thought I could empty the oceans dry
Though, only if I could tilt the earth with my hand
I thought I could make the world colorblind
Though, only if I could paint the world blood red
So, I wanted regret to be a lie
To take it away from the days of my life
To stab it with purpose and watch it die
Send it to hell and watch it fry
Next, I gave this a lot of heart-felt thought…

Regret is merely a thought, I thought
And my thoughts are mine to control
So, I reached in my mind,
Grabbed regret by the throat,
And slammed that dog into a bottomless hole!
It was easier than I thought
