Easter Egg

The Easter lilies showed so happy
Above the glorious pathways of roses.
They glistened with the love of many,
And glowed with the hope from us all.

A hidden egg,
Coloured blue and pink,
Sat quietly behind the stems so tall.

The childen, dressed in clothes so pretty,
Ran around the grass so green.
The boys and girls all joyous and happy,
Searching for those eggs hidden
By the Easter Bunny.

The hidden egg,
Resting there, waiting,
Just waiting.
The childen came closer,
And closer to her.

A little girl, in a bright blue dress,
Exclaimed, so cheerfully,
"I found the best Easter egg ever!"
