I drown her in whiskey
She floats to the top
I cut her from my skin
I see her in each drop

That black-haired devil
Spoiled me from loving
Perched on my shoulder
Plucking my brain
Like a vulture
Leaving only the ugly parts
So I'm left to starve
With anguish as my only nourishment
I fiend for some resistance
To this coming tide
Of possible suicide
These heart-wrenching shadows
From the light that once shined
But now has gone out
And left me blind
