Education

For the past thirteen years, we have considered it a bore
Graduated from high school now here is the bill for the next four
Something that is expected in the workforce to create a community of scholars
But how can we continue to enforce this idea when student loans are approaching 1.2 trillion dollars

It’s smart to go to college
And gain an abundance of knowledge
But with costs steadily increasing
It suddenly doesn’t seem so appealing

In-state four-year public institution
150,000 dollars is surely the attribution
The price of college is an arm and a leg
Making students stand in front of banks and beg

Other countries offer free education
Yet America deems itself the best nation
Making students go into so much debt it’s nearly impossible to recover
It sure does make me wonder
