By Eery

It was an eery night,
Light so bright
Sitting on my bed, I turned my head
There came a sudden pound on my door
Then came nothing more.
I shut my book, frightened and scared.
I stand, and walk slowly.
I look to my winder, ever so holy.
Stood there, my mother.
Tonight I’m going in the gutter!
