Effects of War

Needle after needle they poke, I pray
Pill after pill, They become a routine
Tube after Tube they fill

Blood flows and fills the halls
I know the results before they return

You have cancer

Tears that can never be return
This is the price I pay for the life I can't
Return

I walked in the war whole
and came out undone.
