Egypt


Sand burns with strong unreal heat,
The sun bakes ground tightly,
It barely can endure more -
The desert reigns mightly.

Quicksand has got a heavy breath,
It moves like barchans upwards,
High mountains in honor bent
Before the queen Sahara.

A route of trade in endless dunes
Curves like a long snake tail,
And as huge vessels by the sea
Sail caravans of camels.

The sky burns with a scarlet disk,
In delta of the Nile
Flamingos as a mirage pink
Dance, fading among palms...
