Feelings can be Wild and hard to tame
When unleashed they’re hardly the same
And truth is you can find someone to blame
But it’s best not to so no one’s is burnt by that flame

Be careful when you pour your heart out
When blinded life can take you down the wrong route
Your deepest thoughts might confuse you and leave you with doubt
And if it’s too late, you’ll be left abandoned with no way to bail out.

It would be devastating for me to end up hurt
Like a lonely, wounded cub who dropped motionless in Saharan dirt
And eventually bled to death and found inert

Letting your emotions take over will require you to act
Like a magnet you will do what you can to attract
Readjusting any imperfections I need to extract
So you see me the way I see you and hopefully you won’t retract
