Emptiness

Vulnerability is the root...
A desert dry and bare
A child deprived of care
A thirst yearning to be quenched
A desert longing to be drenched
A void craving to be filled
A prisoner waiting to be killed
A vacuum, simply lacking
A student, subsequently slacking
A barren wife, accepting
A heartbroken soul, reflecting
A desolate town, devoid
A parent, unemployed
An lackadaisical, exhausted stare
A stomach hollow, filled with air
A blank, naked sheet of paper
An evil, heartless raper
An emotion of pure despair
A feeling shrouded everywhere
Vulnerability is the root of all...
Emptiness
