Emptiness

By

My arms are empty
The room seems cold
My heart is hurting for someone to hold
Where once was life now a void
Such darkness I have not felt before
Nothing left since you have gone
Such an empty shell and all alone
No one see my broken pieces
How can they when it’s all inside of me
I long for what once was yet never to be
For such sweet kisses and hugs full of love
To feel your skin soft as a dove
Echos of laughter that never came
Such empty arms I now have
Longing for the day when I see your sweet face again
Fly high my child till we meet once more
Then my arms won’t be empty on the other side of heavens door.
