Empty Fall

By Steve

Night gathers, the streets are closed
my soul lies broken in the fields
I can't feel my aching heart
everything in hurry falls apart

raindrops cover my tears,
blurry the vision into deepest fears
until nothing remains in this world at all
I continue with the endless fall

dark clouds merge to one very blanket
hiding, crying, my will is dying
dark trees reach out for freezing winds
it is over, nothing begins

the space inbetween senses
has gone in hopeless agony
nobody sees the lonely child
crying in the empty field of shards

fall has finally come to stay
never will it be spring again in May
one last glance of the fading sun
was just a wish and didn't come
