Empty Words Make for Good Poetry

I.
Forcing its way into the lighted refuge of your smile
My heart dances to the hollow beat of fragile daydreams
If only every day was like this

II.
If I could, I would spend the rest of my life
Tracing constellations in your freckles,
Finding the meaning of life at $7.50 an hour

People have this misconception that the universe is boundless, cold
But I found it in between your fingers
The crinkle of your nose

I found the promise of infinity in the crescent moon you built
For us to live in,
Taking a breath in silent memory of each soul that passes us there

III.
I've lived countless lies
But my favourite
Was the one we lived together
