End of Day

Body forced forward, air brakes gasp
Ghost stop at the stop, picking up time
Next stop, people stop, schedule ticks past
Pull cord, stop request, home to unwind

Appreciate, two seats back, always in style
Heart breaks, challenged child, sitting by the aisle
Eyes down, pages up, been reading for a while
Two blocks walk, coming stop, in another mile

Eyes glare, review the day, pocket grows lighter
Society's underbelly, each day becomes a fighter
Morning awakening, working tiring, each rider anonymous
End of day, tomorrow better, I'm home and off the bus
