Enemy of Light

An enemy of light, I’ve traveled dark roads:
A friend to the unknown,
A comrade of self-cognition,
An associate of adventure forever searching for the undiscovered thought.

In the caves amongst the blind troglobite:
I’ve fasted with the Olm
(Our deepest desires were
Fed by hunger),
Shared long moments of intricate self-reflection with a Crayfish
(In the void
Our thoughts echoed),
And spun tales of grand deceit with the Harvestmen
(The truth was found
In misinformation).
In the dark places what you see is not all that it appears to be.

I traverse in the shadows,
A seeker of the shade;
An enemy of the light.
