Engulfed

The pain engulfed her when "her"
heart left her chest,
No one knowing the burden or the depth.
Creating thick storm clouds above her head,
as she stood there rain pouring down around her,
sensing this would be her death.
Water rapidly filling her lungs
silencing her screams while drowning.
With nothing solid close enough to ground her.
Cold and completely alone,
hearing his SWeet sweet laughter
as the echoes came next clinging
to the giggling whispers of her ghost.
Hoping if she keeps pushing forward
a bright light will pierce the darkness
finally freeing her damned soul
with demons who patiently wait below.
