Envy

From the beginning of the future
To the end of the beginning
Man has stretched worldly sutures
And compressed the mind to expanding
Our story begins as such it ends
In a distant land of promise and pain
Where the will of the universe bends
And it may be dry while it rains
To be intent on nothing at all
But contain the dreams of a child
And to eternally fall
While constantly rising past mild
Two paths to be chosen by thee
While discarding all regard for this
Journey that so entices me
And yet it's you who must be wrongfully bliss
