Escape

Clinging to this key
Many tried to flee
Away from the fast-paced
Everyday cycles
Priorities
Struggles
Failures
Each key with a different core
White powder
Treacherous affections
Hidden second lives
Hands held too tightly
Afraid to let go
Believing this key would surely set them free
Help them escape but what they didn't know
This escape was nothing but a test
The key belonging to a rusted door
Leading to nothingness and ruins
This escape out of everyday life
Disguised as Heaven
But nothing like it
