Soaring winds, glistening waves crash on shore
the calling seagulls are wailing my name
whispering shells sing louder than before
those that lie by the sea taunt me as game
Except I inhabit this lonely cave
each droplet of water echoes my fate
day by day captured becoming less brave
The force against me tries to isolate
Still island beneath begs for company
I long to be free to follow the cry
I've not yet shown, still they call actively
granted the chance I would not pass it by
Why must we waste this time bottled indoors
freedom to roam eliminates remorse
