Are you tossed, as though on waves?
Silent in a crowd while everyone raves?
Do you dream of silenced screams?
Do you dread the fading sunshine beams?
From your soul do currents flow?
Or from you eyes, but who will know?
Do you hate day for fear of night?
Do you stave off morning with all your might?
Close your eyes.
From reality drift.
Do nightmares stray?
Does harmless come the day?
Does hope seep through your darkened veil?
Are the waves now gentle, and wind fill your sail?
You've closed your eyes.
Reality's adrift.
Your adrift?
