Etz Chaim

As the leopard changes its spots,
Together we meticulously reposition them
Like intricate building blocks.
Our fidelity arises from a cautious rebirth.
Doubt becomes trust,
Fury becomes laughter,
Disdain becomes adoration,
Censure becomes respect,
Oppression becomes gratitude.
Perched high above the dense bushveld
From a sturdy bough within the sacred baobab,
The leopard gazes beneath him with profound amazement.
The roots suddenly emerging from the fertile earth
Higher and higher he is elevated
With joy and esteem permeating his heart.
As the roots fervently grow,
What was once obscured is now illuminated.
He reflects upon the infinite horizon with a brand new ambition.
A harmonious serenity falls upon the enchanted land
And an exhilarating excitement fills the air.
His spots, forever changing, are a glorious masterpiece
Of love, life, and growth.
