Everest

Everest
A child so fragile and small
Who will grow up to be a man
Will grow up to be tall
And see the world simply like no one else can

He walks with his head held high
His mother, brother, and sisters,by his side
He sits down with a shallow sigh
And tells stories of how stars were his guide

Once told stories of a great mountain
And stories of silver knights
He knew he'd find a golden fountain
And dance with maidens in silver lights

He travels far then even farther
The wind slows and it begins to snow
The cold is unbarring and he shivers harder
The snow fades and light begins to flow

That's when he sees his home
He's dreamed of this day
The clouds look like coffee foam
Hes traveled all this way

The mountain that formed his name
He made it a reality now
He can't believe his future fame
He lived up to his biggest dream somehow
