Evergreen Skies

once we were on a boat,
in a river
somewhere with evergreen skies
and thrashing waters,
we werent paddeling
only floating
without Destination
an act of nature
determines our death
and there is closure in the stream
its wind pushing us to somewhere
but no where, all the same.
singing song like we will live forever,
sleeping hoping not to wake.
the cold is a blanket in which
i lay under,
and my breath is smoke in the air.
hunger creeps,
and happiness sat.
on this river in thrashing water turns,
in heavens above.
and we keep on floating
on a boat-
on a river-
with Evergreen Skies
