Every Wound Have a Story

Every wound has a division
What will come of this
when I'm restored, when I'm healthy

I want my wound to tell
of how I've overwhelmed
of how I made it through
of where I have come from

I want my wound to whisper
about the aching I faced
about this very hard time
about the difficult I ran

But mostly I want my wound
to speak of something better
I want it to scream
about my breathing Inventor

Let my wound be evidence
that there is a loving Lord
who struggled my frightening conflicts
and on whose arms I flew

Let my wound declare
that all things work for good
that by yours truly I couldn't
but with my God I could
