Everything Is Ruined Forever

Purple plaid elephants dance around my mind.
The Cheshire cat laughs at me because I am blind.
I have no hope for innocence, the careless and the free.
They all may die, in their own time, due to naivety.
What can I do to stop myself, to keep my own mind whole?
Who can I see, in this strange place, to save my mortal soul?
The darkness crowds upon my life, like crows upon their feast.
This bleak, fleeting vision leaves me to weep, to say the very least.
