Evil Eyes

Every day that I wake up, I feel like I'm in hell
The constant battle, I know too well
I sense the devil getting near,
I hear him whisper in my ear,
I feel his disdain, his power, his hate
I close my eyes to await my fate
Each day then turns from day to night,
From darkness, then again to light
Although I'm unable to break free,
I ask of God to hear my plea
Although I'm unable to retreat my fight,
I ask of you to return my sight
As evil eyes stare back at me,
My eyes are now open and I can see,
His intensity as strong as stone,
Attempting to rip through to bone
His intent may be to make me crack,
Instead I stand up and glare right back
Now it's my turn, so sit and listen
It is you that led to this demolition
You may have steered my mind unclear,
Transformed my heart for pain to fear
As you may always remain near,
Defeat will never conquer here
