Excited To Be Forever

Can I write about this heat?
making enemies from ants
My guitar, wrapped around my neck
is the key to my sight
You're hot, but you
hide in the shade
and wait freely
for the nauseous breeze
dig 'em up and line them there
think it up and leave them dead
dig 'em up and mind your lair
figure it out and your head
You melt like a colour in the sun
You burn up like a weed in heat
You're fired like a woman in a suit
and you feed fire with fire
You beg till you're a shattered spire
and you speak like you're living now
good deeds get you further than far
it hurts to be a human fire
it hurts to crave and desire
it hurts to be a human with fire
it hurts to be,
a human being
