Somehow your spirit weakened me
Your soul had found my soul
Reluctantly, my walls crumbled
Inside a gaping hole

My heart lied cold and lifeless
My horrific scene exposed
Ashamed, I tried to cover it
The fear in me arose

Frantically, I looked to you
I froze in disbelief
Your walls fell too, you looked to me
Acceptance that you seek

You saw into my darkness
That moment all was still
I saw into your heart
Exposing light that I could feel

At once my heart abandoned me
What once only existed
Was now in rhythm with your pulse
Wild and unrestricted
