Exposure

Today
I walked to your house in
acid rain.
It drizzled
So I put on my hood.
But it only seeped through.
It rained harder so
I put on my rain coat.
But it was demolished.
The acid rain
Ate my shoes, shirt, and my pants.
So I cried, but the acid rain
Eliminated my tears like an ultra-vacuum.
So here I am-
Naked-
On your porch;
Stripped from the lies,
Hurt,
Distrust,
And rejection,
To tell you one thing
The Truth.
