Your life is just starting.
You open your eyes for the first time,
You have a pair of eyes looking down at you.
Her eyes have a soft touch to them.
You see a warm smile on her face.
She picks you up!
You feel the soft touch in her hands.
She's bring you closer to her body.
You feel the warmth.
You hear a thump and another thump!
You're saying to yourself I have heard
that thump before!
It is the mother's heart,
Now you smell her for the first time,
You feel her.
Here the soft voice and what
You hear is,
I love you!
Your eyes meet for the first time your
face lights up with the most beautiful smile
your mother has ever seen!

I live in St. Marys, GA and have for thirty-four years. I have been a hairdresser over twenty-five years, enjoy writing poetry and doing photography. I had many problems in school with learning disabilities, which I had to overcome. My inspiration has been my son. Since I first laid eyes on him the day he was born, he's been the joy of my life. I know God is always there for me, my sister Robin, my best friend Trish, and all my wonderful friends. I thank them all from the bottom of my heart. God bless.
