Eyes Like the Sea

My eyes
are an extension
of Poseidon
for they portray
the duality of the sea.
Their thrashing,
blue-green hues
tell a story of strength
and fortitude.
My whirlpool
pupils
drink in golden sun beams,
reflecting
infinite tranquility.
Encased around their black depths
are halos, colored grey,
symbolic of the fickle sky's
eternal pull
over the emotional state
of waves.
