FACE TO THE WALL

FACE TO THE WALL

Mournfully book to chair
I’m in these four walls waiting
Waiting for someone to come and say
Virus gone let’s go dating
Freedom, freedom this is the day

Masking life to compare
These four walls know
Know that nothing much has changed
Only that my frustrations grow
Freedom, freedom loneliness rearranged

Book and hand socially distance
Four walls waiting for a change of heart
Heart not there just for blood
Heart wanting a brand new start
Freedom, freedom stuck in the mud

Snoring to a loving existence
Waiting, waiting for someone to say
Come you should stand tall
Have fun and don’t you delay
Freedom, freedom face to the wall
