Faces

the faces of men that used to be.
Faces that stare in sad regret,
for justice served, without respect.
Faces with eyes, that once shined bright,
now show eyes without delight.
Faces all wrinkled from hurt and pain,
by a legal system that has no shame.
I see these faces every day,
all like me in here, they stay.
We faced injustice within our land,
by government forces too large and grand.
To no avail our fight we fought
and justice failed, so it's not our fault.
