Facing That Man

What were you thinking, at a time I should have looked up to you?
I find myself lost, praying these nightmares are not true.
What were you thinking, when you took my innocents?
How could you continue, when I cried out with resistance?
What were you thinking, when you told me it was our special game?
You told me to be quiet, did you think I would never say a thing?
I'll tell you what I'm thinking, since you decided to violate me.
My pain is put away now, and angers all you'll see.
I'll tell you what I'm thinking, as I start to back on my feet.
You took my childhood, but as an adult that will not repeat.
I'll tell you what I'm thinking, it's time that I let go.
No longer will you control me, my heart can finally grow.
