Fade Away, My Goddess of the Night

Fade away from me now
My jeweled goddess of night
For the hardest battle was
Letting you fly into a moonlit sky
Far from my dreams of wooing
In the skidoo of the world gone by
That was the hardest rain I felt
Taking the step away tonight
Just go now, for you are so unaware
Into the ether of my tired eyes you sit
Upon craggy hills and twilight skies
Leaving now, my jeweled goddess of night.
