Failure is the Best Teacher

Each doorway closed opens another,
Every dead end a new route.
A setback is only temporary;
You can always try again.

How does one know that they chose the right major,
If they never tried another?
How can one be sure they made the best move in chess,
When there are millions of options?

If one succeeds at everything they try,
How will they cope with their first failure?
Succeeding is definitely an accomplishment to be proud of.
But failure, the exact opposite, is truly the best teacher.
