Fairyland

As I stood and gazed out my window
At the beautiful countryside
I thought of a magic fairy land
Where elves and gnomes abide

The ground was covered with diamonds
From the snow that had tumbled down
It landed gracefully on the tree tops
And glistened like a shimmering crown

The sky was a velvet blanket
Studded with golden stars
And the moon shone brightly o,er the hill
Just a few light years from Mars

And every house stood sparkling
A glow from top to toe
With brightly coloured Christmas lights
Reflected in the snow

The beautiful sights of winter
Is like an artist with a magic hand
That carves and paints a picture
Of my beautiful fairyland
