Oh would that I could see for what I'm chose,
And wonders of that world beyond the veil,
Our God who made me, patiently still shows,
Eternal truths though blindly yet I fail.

Why then has He allowed me to exist?
Through wars and strife, though many pleasures come,
Why too through this glass darkly I persist,
To see the light from Him and not succumb.

I've wondered why I know that He is here,
And why I know that church bells have to chime,
Or why that we can talk to God in prayer,
Could it be knowledge from another time?

My faith is strong that God will me embrace,
With answers when I see Him face to face.
