Fall

Summertime gone
We bid ado
Farewell to the season
We most recently knew.
An explosion of colors
So striking - so bold
Crimson and orange
A sight to behold.
Air - crisp and clean
Energy anew
My spirit takes flight
Anticipation ensues.
Another season
Another reason
To feel reborn
Waiting in the wings a bright new morn.
Out in the orchards apples hang from the trees
Ripe for the picking
Smiling faces to please.
Hayrides and cider
Just hit the spot
Bringing joy to the masses
Both gown folks and tots.
So here's to a season to be embraced by all
A true wonder of Mother Nature
This season call fall.
