A time when deterioration
is labeled as beauty.
The more death,
the deeper the color.
The cold starts to wrap
the promise of a long rest
in its arms.
I'm not ready to be chilled
to my very core.
Yet, this beauty that
engulfs me,
calms me,
and I forget what is to come.
