Fallen

I was once a thing of beauty,
Light radiating from my halo,
I was able to soar free,
Roaming to and fro,

Alas a darkness fell upon me,
Corrupting my innocent soul,
I knew it was time to flee,
But 'twas too late for I taken the heavy toll,

God saw my horrendous mistakes,
He knew what must be done,
Punishment must be made,
And like that I faded like the setting sun,

My wings were torn from my back,
Now wounds bleed painfully,
Tears fall as my heart cracks,
As time passes by endlessly,

I am a fallen,
But there is till hope,
I still have eons,
To mend what has broke.
