Falling in Love

A young girl born an old soul
views leaves as they turn vivid hues
of crimson, orange, brown, and gold.
Nature's gift to her: a cornucopia of muse.
Each delicate leaf that took descent upon the earth
marks the dawn of a new, bountiful harvest.
Autumn's splendor never failed to provoke her mirth.
The hopeless romantic within herself was dying to be kissed
by that kindred spirit, her first love.
His eyes shone radiantly as stars in the celestial sky above.
