Fall’s Arrival

Fall calls out,
"Summer make haste!"
She can't wait any longer,
She starts running,
"No Fall wait!"
Spring calls out,
But she's already gone,
Fall runs up looking for summer
Here he comes,
Slower than ever
"What took you so long"
She calls but never gets an answer,
She's just happy that now it's her turn.
She decides to start with the trees,
She gently gets a branch,
Plucking off the leaves,
She sets their colors
Perfectly to tone,
She does this tree by tree,
Taking her an hour, or three
Once she's done,
She looks around once more,
Just to make sure,
That everything is perfectly in place,
A smile brightens up her face,
Another successful year!
