Fame Fame, up there you lay
With fortunes yet untold
Far in the hills we strive
To touch your tail, scratch your back
And tell tales of The Glorious Height
But yet so tough it seems
To behold your crystal ball
In joy we try
But to no avail we long
Fame! Fortune! Fame!
When then, how then
Shall we a feel of your glory bright
When shall we thread your appian way
Well, not giving up the struggle
With zeal and zest unbridled
One day, someday
Shall our joy know no bound
Then round and round
Our turn we take
With smiles from dawn to dusk
And ivory tusks to glory swing
Having touched your golden pearl
That has yet been washed in the glen
And gloriously shall we sing
When on your wonderland we thrive.
