Gazing around at these familiar faces
Etched in each one are similar traces

Noticing myself in their smiles or eyes
In their hearty laugh or even their cries

Sharing more than a simple sir name
It's the same blood running through each of our veins

Personalities differ and temperaments too
But coming together, we're a fine slew

Generations, standing side by side
We shelter this heritage, protecting it with pride

God gave us these ones to call our own for a reason
To be a brother to us during every season

When we withereth and can't stand no more
It's these loved ones who come shining forth

And when we rejoice and excitement is within
The ones to share this happiness with you are your kin

Young ones come in and others wrinkle with age
But through the years our heritage will never fade
