Ask your sister and ask your mother
if you will ever find another
Who'll take your hand and then your heart
spend some time together and then you'll start
a family with children just one or two
not too many and not too few.
raise them gently through their fears
hold them softly when their tears
flow softly or in sobs
while hubby looks for jobs
that take him further from your home.
At times you've never known
a peaceful night that's shown you
how to deal with him away
knowing you can never say
how much you want him near
when you see that the shear
weight of him being alone
on his own so far from family
and home has shown him how strong
his love for you has grown.
