Family Feuds

I wait upon my other kin
each with their own desires.
Shall we meet within the cloistered inn
resembling hooded friars?

Topics long and tedious
will be bantered to and fro
some will think it Mickey-Mouse,
'tis the way it always goes.

Once each year we go through this
searching to make amends,
it never has, nor ever will, bring bliss...
too many feuds to end!

I ponder how this all began,
no clear enlightenment,
time has blurred the boogeyman
that will bring us here to vent!
